Sanderson Avenue north of Ramona Expressway, City of San Jacinto

On Wednesday, August 7, 2019, about 2:10 AM, Deputies from the San Jacinto Station arrived on Sanderson Avenue north of Ramona Expressway, City of San Jacinto regarding a major injury traffic collision investigation. The preliminary investigation revealed a semi-truck towing “bottom dump” trailers was traveling north on Ramona Expressway in the number two lane of traffic. A silver, Toyota coupe was traveling south on Sanderson Avenue. The Toyota veered to the right then to the left consequently crossing into the northbound lanes of traffic. The two vehicles collided in the northbound lanes causing major damage to both vehicles. All occupants of the vehicles were transported to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries. The occupants of the Toyota are in serious condition.
The San Jacinto Station’s Collision Reconstruction Team responded and assumed the investigation. During the investigation, the northbound lanes of Sanderson Avenue remained closed and were reopened about 9:00 AM.
