Details:

On January 5, 2010, the San Jacinto Police Department began an investigation into the fraudulent use of fictitious United States currency possession and dissemination. Officers received a complaint from a victim who purchased merchandise from the suspect after responding to an on-line classified/auction site. Officers recovered various denominations of fictitious United States Currency passed by the suspect.

On January 26 , with the assistance of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Computerized And Technology Crime High Tech Response Team (CATCH), and the United States Secret Service, investigators responded to the 300 block of Meridian Street, Hemet and served a search warrant.

At the residence, investigators located 5.8 grams of suspected methamphetamine, packaging material and evidence indicating narcotics sales, as well as a motorcycle with an altered vehicle identification number that is believed to be stolen. Michael Bailey, 20 years, of Hemet was arrested for 476 PC - Possession of Fictitious Bills, 11379(a) H&S - Possession of Methamphetamine for sales, and 10751(a) CVC - Possession of vehicle with altered vehicle registration number.
