Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Hemet Station responded to the 40000 block of Johnston Ave., reference a Home Invasion Robbery. The victims called for assistance after four African American males entered their residence armed with firearms. The victims informed law enforcement that the suspects left the residence with undisclosed property in a red Mustang sports car. Moments later, Hemet deputies observed a red Mustang occupied by four African American males traveling eastbound on Florida Avenue.
Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, but it turned onto Hemet Street and pulled to the side of the road. Two subjects exited the vehicle and fled east on foot through a field. The subjects were apprehended and identified as 18-year-old Eric Anthony Taylor of Hemet and 19-year-old Jamall James Woods also of Hemet. Both were in possession of firearms.
The Mustang drove away at a high rate of speed and a pursuit ensued. Deputies were unable to stop the vehicle and the remaining suspects were not apprehended.
