On Saturday, January 16, 2010, at 3:30 AM, officers from the San Jacinto Police Department responded to a residential alarm call for service in the 1000 block of Peaceful Lane in the city of San Jacinto. Upon arrival, officers observed the home had been broken into and saw a male subject fleeing from the property. Officers pursued the male subject on foot through several backyards as the man continued to go over residential fences.
The officers caught the subject, Eduardo Gonzalez, 27 years old of Hemet, on Nightfall Road as he came out of a backyard. Gonzalez, who has a lengthy criminal theft record, was found in possession of burglary tools when he was taken into custody. Gonzalez was arrested and booked into Smith Correctional Facility for Burglary, Theft with a Prior Theft Conviction, Felony Vandalism, Possession of Burglary Tools and Resisting Arrest.
