Christopher Gutierrez

On Thursday, May 02, 2019, about 5:06 PM, members of the Region 7 Regional Gang Task Force Opens in New Window located an occupied stolen white Ford F-350 truck traveling west on Mission Boulevard near the intersection of Caleb Street in Jurupa Valley. Task force officers temporarily lost sight of the vehicle and located it unoccupied and abandoned in a dirt field at the intersection of Pyrite Street and Granite Hill Drive. With assistance from Jurupa Valley Station patrol personnel and the Jurupa Valley Station Special Enforcement Team, task force officers were able to locate the driver running west on the Interstate 60 freeway on-ramp. The driver was arrested and identified as 27-year-old Jurupa Valley resident, Christopher Gutierrez.

A coordinated multi-agency investigation revealed and confirmed Gutierrez was also being sought and had used this same F-350 during the commission of several commercial burglaries in the City of Ontario and was additionally identified as the driver using this same F-350 during a police vehicle pursuit that occurred in the City of Fontana on April 26th, 2019. It is believed Gutierrez may be responsible for additional thefts in the Jurupa Valley area. Gutierrez was later released to the custody of the Fontana Police Department and booked into custody in San Bernardino County for several felony charges.

The Region 7 Gang Task Force is one of eight teams composing the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force, which is a collaborative effort of 25 law enforcement agencies with the goal of combating criminal street gangs throughout Riverside County.
