George Luis Sandoval

On January 16, 2018, about 12:42 PM, a traffic motor unit assigned to the Jurupa Valley Station attempted to make a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Van Buren Boulevard and Etiwanda Avenue in Jurupa Valley for a traffic violation. The vehicle failed to yield and continued a short distance away to the 10000 Block of Windsor Place. The driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot.

Task Force officers from the Region 7 Regional Gang Task Force were in the area searching for a wanted criminal street gang member, identified as 23-year-old Jurupa Valley resident George Luis Sandoval at the time the vehicle fled. It was determined Sandoval was the driver of the vehicle. Task Force officers requested the assistance of the Jurupa Valley Station K-9 Unit. Sandoval was found hiding in a yard in the 10000 Block of Lansford Street and apprehended by the K-9 Unit. A bail enhancement was approved for Sandoval at $ 800,000. He was later booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for the following charges:

  • Two outstanding vehicle theft and drug sale warrants
  • Evading arrest
  • Felony violation of probation

The Region 7 Gang Task Force is one of eight teams composing the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force, which is a collaborative effort of 25 law enforcement agencies with the goal of combating criminal street gangs throughout Riverside County. The Region 7 Gang Task Force is staffed by members of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, California Highway Patrol, Probation and Parole.
