On Friday, June 28, 2019, at 11:27 A.M. the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force conducted follow up investigation at a residence near the 46000 block of Vargas Road in Indio.  The investigation stemmed from an incident that occurred in the unincorporated area of Palm Desert on February 7, 2019 during which time an adult female victim was intentionally struck with a vehicle causing her to sustain a broken bone.  Task Force Officers arrested Rodolfo Martinez-Fernandez, 25 of Indio for Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Felony Vandalism, and an outstanding Narcotics Arrest Warrant.  He was booked at the Indio Jail.
