On November 11, 2017, at approximately 3:00 PM, deputies and officers assigned to the Coachella Valley Narcotics Task Force (CVNTF), served a search warrant at a residence located in the 1500 block of Amelia Way, located within the city of Palm Springs. An illegal indoor marijuana grow was located at the residence.

The search warrant resulted in the confiscation of approximately 390 marijuana plants and approximately $1,200 dollars in US Currency. It was discovered that the home had illegally bypassed the power resulting in the theft of electricity as well. Southern California Edison responded to the location due to the illegal setup and existing hazards.

40-year-old, Yong Li, a resident of the Los Angeles area was located and arrested at the residence. Li was transported and booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility, located in the city of Banning for illegal marijuana cultivation.
