On Saturday, March 23, 2019, at 3:00am, officers from the Jurupa Valley Police Department and Cal-Fire personnel responded to the 6300 block of Etiwanda Avenue for an adult male who was found unresponsive inside a vehicle. The male, later identified as 27-year-old, Esteban Perez, was transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries he received during an apparent assault. Investigators from Jurupa Valley PD began an investigation which was later transferred to the Sheriff’s Central Homicide when Perez was declared deceased on March 26, 2019.

In the following days, investigators identified 31-year-old, Miguel Aguilar, and his brother, 35-year-old, Juan Aguilar, as suspects in the homicide of Estaban Perez. Both were arrested and each is held with a bail amount of $1,000,000 at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.  Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to contact Investigator Trudeau at the Central Homicide Unit by calling (951) 955-2777.
