Update 07-27-2019:

On May 30, 2019, Investigators from the Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit met with members of the District Attorney’s Office to discuss the involvement of 37-year-old, Raul Soberanis, in the June 14, 2018, murder of Adan Muro. The murder occurred during an armed robbery of illegally grown and harvested marijuana plants on residential property on Santa Rosa Mine Road, Lake Matthews. Raul Soberanis was already in-custody at the Robert Presley Detention Center for unrelated crimes when the additional charge of murder was added. His bail is now set at $9,000,000.  The Riverside County Sheriff's Department encourages anyone with additional information regarding this incident to contact Central Homicide Investigator Trudeau at (951) 955-2777.

Details:

On Thursday, June 14, 2018, at 6:50 pm, deputies from the Perris Station responded to a residential armed robbery with one victim shot on the 20000 block of Santa Rosa Mine Road, Lake Matthews. The suspects were described as 4-6 masked gunmen who arrived on the rural residential property, bound several victims, and shot one of them. The gunmen proceeded to steal numerous grown and harvested marijuana plants before fleeing in an unknown direction.

Deputies arrived at the scene within minutes and declared the shooting victim deceased. Based on the circumstances, investigators from the Perris Station and the Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit responded to the scene and assumed the investigation which is still on-going. The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification to family.
