UPDATE: SUSPECT LOCATED 11-13-18:

Jesus “Chuy” Guzman, wanted for questioning in multiple murders in the Antelope Valley / Littlerock area, as well as a home invasion murder in Menifee on February 5, 2018, was involved in an officer involved shooting with members of the U.S. Marshals Service, Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force, in Inyo County on November 8, 2018.  Mr. Guzman was deceased at the scene and a weapon was recovered.  Anyone with additional information regarding this investigation is encouraged to call Investigator Joshua Manjarrez of the Riverside Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit at (760) 393-3530, or Investigator Martin Alfaro of the Riverside Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit at (760) 393-3528.

UPDATE: SUSPECT ARRESTED 10-29-18

The Riverside Sheriff’s Department-Central Homicide Unit developed information that led to the identification of two suspects responsible for the home invasion murder of Silvano Esteves, age 43, of Menifee.  The two suspects have been identified as Rodolfo Garcia, age 35, of Perris and Jesus “Chuy” Guzman, age 34, of Littlerock, CA.

The Riverside Sheriff’s Department-Central Homicide Unit shared this information with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department and a subsequent search of Guzman’s property in Littlerock was conducted and human remains were located.  Guzman remains a person of interest regarding the human remains found at the Littlerock property on Thursday, October 11th, 2018.

On Monday, October 29th, 2018 the Riverside Sheriff’s Department-SWAT team served a high-risk search warrant in the 21600 block of Club Drive, Perris.  Rodolfo Garcia was arrested without incident and booked into custody on murder charges related to the Silvano Esteves murder.  Jesus “Chuy” Guzman remains at large and is considered “Armed and Dangerous.”  Both the Riverside and Los Angeles Sheriff’s Departments are working collaboratively to locate and apprehend Guzman.

Jesus “Chuy” Guzman is a Hispanic Male adult, 34 years of age, 5’5” tall, 150 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.  Should you see Guzman, do not approach and call 911 immediately. Silvano Gutierrez Esteves

This past Sunday, August 5th, 2018 marked the six-month anniversary of the open homicide investigation pertaining to Mr. Silvano Gutierrez Esteves, age 43, of Menifee.   Mr. Esteves was killed at his home during a botched home-invasion robbery.  Investigators located a large amount of marijuana on the property and believe the suspect’s targeted the victim as a result.  Witnesses have described seeing several male suspects fleeing from the property after the homicide.

On Monday, February 5th, 2018 at about 12:48 am, Menifee police officers were dispatched to an “Assault with a Deadly Weapon” call located in the 27700 block of Monroe Avenue, in the city of Menifee.  Officers arrived and found an adult Hispanic male deceased inside the residence.  The Riverside Sheriff’s Department-Central Homicide Unit and Menifee Police detectives have assumed the investigation. 

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending death notification to his family.  There is no suspect information available at this time and no additional details will be released.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call Investigator Joshua Manjarrez of the Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit at (760) 393-3530 or Investigator Cassie Pemberton of the Perris Station at 951-210-1000.
