Suspects Arrested 12-17-13:
Detectives from the Central Homicide Unit, San Jacinto Police Department, and the Hemet Sheriff Station continued with the investigation into three separate murders occurring in the city of San Jacinto and on the Soboba Indian reservation.
Raymond Barrera, age 23 of San Jacinto, Tawpash Durnin, age 20 of San Jacinto, and Robert Hernandez, age 18 of San Jacinto, have all been charged with homicide in the three murders.
On July 8, 2013, at about 1:04 AM, deputies from the San Jacinto Police Department responded to the 300 block of W. First Street regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival deputies located a deceased male on the side of the roadway. The male victim had sustained several gunshot injuries.
Detectives from the Central Homicide Unit, and the San Jacinto Station responded to the location and assumed the investigation. During the investigation the victim was identified as Ruben Lee Zavala, age 34 of San Jacinto. Detectives from the Central Homicide Unit and the San Jacinto Station are currently working the case. No arrests have been made.
