In December 2017, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department will be hosting the annual “Blue Light Ceremony” to honor the brave men and women of law enforcement who have made the ultimate sacrifice to serve their communities throughout Riverside County since 1893.

The public is invited to join in the ceremonies which will be held at two locations:

  • The second ceremony will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017, at 6:00 PM, at the Riverside County Administrative Center (CAC) Board Chambers, located at 4080 Lemon Street, Riverside Opens in New Window.

Project Blue Light is part of a national recognition program, established by Concerns of Police Survivors, Inc. (C.O.P.S.), that honors all peace officers who lost their lives in the line of duty, and enhances public awareness of law enforcement deaths across the country.  During the holiday season, we pay tribute to our fallen heroes by displaying blue lights from December 1, 2017, through January 1, 2018.

A reception will immediately follow each ceremony.  Please RSVP to Nicole Wilkinson at 951-955-2469 or nicole.wilkinson@riversidesheriff.org.
