Nicholas Duffy, 26 Details:
On Monday, November 2, 2009, about 1:57 p.m. Menifee Police Officers responded to the 27000 block of Avenida Halago in Menifee reference an individual being detained by citizens after he attempted to steal their vehicle.
The occupants of the residence heard their vehicle start. They went outside and found Nicholas Duffy (04/26/83) attempting to steal their vehicle. When Duffy saw the residents he fled on foot and attempted to drive away in another vehicle parked down the street. The victims were able to detain Duffy before he could drive away.
Upon arrival, officers determined the other vehicle was stolen on 11/01/09 from the city of Temecula. Further investigation led to the discovery of numerous stolen items from several different victims within the stolen vehicle. Duffy was booked into the Southwest Detention Center for Vehicle Theft, Possession of Stolen Property, and a Violation of Probation.
