Details:
On 11/01/09, at 2255 hours, Officers from the Moreno Valley Police Department responded to a Home Invasion Robbery. The reporting party said that two black male adults entered the residence with a shotgun. A victim escaped from the robbery and flagged down arriving officers. Officers saw a silver Ford Focus fleeing the scene, and confirmed with the victim that the vehicle was involved in the crime. An investigative stop was conducted and the lone occupant, Marcus Quiller (05/11/88) of Long Beach, was detained. Additional officers arrived at the residence and detained, Melvin McDuffie III (03/19/85) of Long Beach, as he attempted to walk down the side yard of the residence.

Officers located five adults and three juveniles still inside the residence. Weldon Spurling (03/01/85) of Long Beach, was one of the eight people detained from inside the house. The shotgun used by the suspects was located in the front yard of the residence east of the victim’s residence. All three suspects were identified by the victims, taken into custody and booked at Robert Presley Detention Center for Home Invasion Robbery and Conspiracy.
