On October 31, 2009, at about 12:08 A.M., Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station responded to the report of an altercation at the intersection of Mission Blvd. and Campbell Street, in the unincorporated area of Riverside County known as Glen Avon.
The deputies responded and arrived within minutes and located a Hispanic male adult who was suffering from stab wounds. The injured male was transported to a local area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced deceased. The identity of the male is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
Investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Jurupa Valley Station responded and assumed the investigation.
Investigators believe there were motorists commuting in the area at the time of the homicide and witnessed the incident.
