Details:

On 10/29/09, at about 2200 hours, deputies responded to the 42000 block of Moraga Road, in the city of Temecula. The deputies responded to the location in reference to a vehicle theft that just occurred. The stolen vehicle was described as a green 1998 Nissan Sentra.

Deputies immediately began checking the area for the stolen vehicle and eventually located it on Rancho California Road, near Interstate 15. The vehicle eventually pulled into a liquor store parking lot in the Old Town district of Temecula. After pulling into the liquor store parking lot, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene and ran towards the riverbed, west of Old Town. With the assistance of a department K-9, the driver was immediately apprehended. Three other passengers inside the vehicle were also detained and further investigation revealed all four suspects conspired to commit vehicle theft. The suspects were subsequently arrested at the scene and later booked into the Southwest Detention Center.
