On October 28, 2009, officers assigned to the Lake Elsinore Police Department were dispatched to the 32900 block of Machado Street reference a report of assault with a deadly weapon and attempted kidnapping. According to a female juvenile victim, she was walking to a friend’s house when approached by a male subject in a vehicle. The male subject asked the victim for directions. After a brief discussion, the suspect showed the victim a handgun and demanded she get in his vehicle. The victim refused and fled the scene.
Officers conducted an extensive interview with the victim and a composite sketch was completed. The investigation is ongoing. Based upon the information obtained at the present time, the suspect does not appear to be the same subject police are seeking for the previously reported instances of child annoying.
The suspect has been described as an unshaven white male adult, 30 to 35 years of age, fair complexion with a blonde crew cut and brown eyes. The suspect vehicle was described as a 1990’s gold, four-door sedan. No vehicle license place was observed. Please refer to the attached suspect composite sketch for further details.
