Dennis Gutierrez - Public Information Officer File Number: C092980005   View Larger Map Juan Manuel Felix Borboa DOB 12/22/89 Update: On October 25, 2009, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department Central Homicide Unit has arrested Juan Manuel Felix Borboa, 12/22/89, of Thermal for attempted murder (664/187 PC) on a peace officer. Details: On Sunday, October 25th, 2009 approximately 1:50 am officers from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Indio Station responded to a large gathering of vehicles in the area of Jackson Street and Avenue 62, Thermal. Upon officers' arrival, the vehicles began to flee the area. A CHP unit followed a group of vehicles northbound on Jackson Street. The CHP unit conducted a traffic enforcement stop on one of the vehicles at Jackson Street and Avenue 62. While the officer was contacting the driver of the stopped vehicle, another vehicle driving northbound in the southbound lane of Jackson Street, accelerated and drove toward the officer. At that time an officer involved-shooting occurred. The vehicle fled northbound on Jackson Street.
