On October 21, 2009, at approximately 1330 hours, deputies received information about a possible indoor marijuana cultivation at a residence located in the 4300 block of Estrada in the unincorporated area of Riverside County known as Rubidoux. Deputies made contact with the residents of the location at which time they noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from the residence. When they entered the residence they located a large indoor marijuana cultivation consisting of 237 plants and approximately six (6) ounces of marijuana ready sale.
During the investigation it was determined the residents were stealing electricity to aide in the cultivation process. Arrested were Amber Southern (18 years old) and Daniel Carlson (21 years old) both of Rubidoux. They were booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center for Cultivation of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana for Sales, and Theft of Utilities.
