On Monday, October 19, 2009, about 6:17 pm, deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station responded to a reported vandalism in-progress near the 3500 block of De Forest Circle, Mira Loma. An alert citizen notified law enforcement after seeing five juveniles spray painting graffiti on a block wall at the location. Deputies arrived on scene and detained three of the suspects. Two additional suspects fled the location, but were later apprehended.
The investigation revealed the vandals defaced the block wall with spray paint. Damage was estimated in excess of $1000 dollars.
At the conclusion of the investigation, all five juveniles were charged with felony vandalism and the case was referred to the Riverside County Probation Department for prosecution.
