View Larger Map On Sunday, October 18, 2009, about 8:43 PM, a Temecula Police Officer responded to Inland Valley Medical Center, regarding an adult male victim with a head injury. The victim told hospital staff that about 7:00 PM, two males chased him at the Winchester Creek Park and one of them hit him in the back of the head with and unknown type of handgun.
Winchester Creek Park is located on the north side of Margarita Road, west of Rustic Glen. The victim identified the two males as:
- Suspect #1 - a black male adult, age – late 20s, about 5’ 09” tall, 150 lbs, thin build, short black hair, no facial hair, last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
- Suspect #2 - a Hispanic male adult, age – late 20s, about 6’ 03” tall, 220 pounds, stocky build, short black spiked-type hair cut
- Suspect’s Car – Early 2000s Pontiac Sedan, unknown if two-door or four-door, unknown model and unknown license plate.
The victim told the officer the two said they were "PDK," which he thought might be a local gang. The victim told the two suspects to leave him alone and the black male showed him an unknown type of handgun. He and a friend ran toward their car when the black male caught up to him and struck him in the back of the head with the hand gun. They left the area immediately and drove to the hospital.
Officers searched the area and were unable to locate the suspects or their vehicle. At the time of this press release the investigation is continuing.
