On Wednesday, October 14th, approximately 3:30 pm, an officer from the La Quinta Police Department was on routine patrol in the 78500 block of Darby Rd. in the City of La Quinta. The officer’s stolen vehicle tracking equipment indicated a stolen vehicle was in the immediate vicinity. Dispatch confirmed the stolen vehicle was a silver, 2004 Jaguar, stolen out of Cathedral City.
Additional units responded and located the vehicle at a residence. An air unit was utilized to assist officers. Officers contacted a female in the front of the residence and she was called out and detained. A male subject was located toward the rear of the residence and he was also contacted and detained.
Officers detained the two subjects for further questioning. At this time, there have been no arrests and the investigation in continuing.
