On October 11, 2009, at about 1:24 a.m., deputies assigned to the Cabazon Station of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department responded to a reported disturbance in front of a residence located in the 51000 block of Ella Avenue, Cabazon. Upon arrival deputies located a 39-year-old male, resident of Hemet, lying in the roadway, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Investigation revealed that the male victim had been visiting at a residence in the area when he became involved in an argument with an unknown male adult at the location. The two exited the residence to continue the argument outside. Once outside, the argument turned to a physical altercation between the two, and the victim sustained multiple stab wounds.
The unknown suspect fled the residence prior to the arrival of deputies and his whereabouts are unknown at this time. The male victim was subsequently transported to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs where he is receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is continuing.
