Officers from the Palm Desert Police Department responded to 30 block of Gibraltar, Dr., located within the Sun Terrace gated community, Palm Desert, Ca. regarding an alarm call.
As officers arrived on scene, they observed a silver vehicle driving through the gated community blacked out. As the driver saw officers, he exited the gated community and took off at a high rate of speed. Officers gave chase and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The vehicle pursuit terminated at the Saddleback Apartments located at 78600 block of 42nd Ave. Bermuda Dunes, Ca.
Officers later apprehended the driver and one suspect is still outstanding. There were no injuries to officers or the suspect. Several flat panel televisions and miscellaneous jewelry were recovered.
The suspect was booked into the Indio Jail for residential burglary and felony evading a peace officer. His bail is set at $25,000. His name is being withheld pending further investigation.
