On Friday, October 02, 2009, at approximately 7:50 P.M., Officers from the Palm Desert Police Department, and the California Department of Forestry responded to Wal-Mart Department Store, located at 34500 Monterey Avenue, Palm Desert, Ca. regarding a bomb threat.
An unknown male called Wal-Mart and advised there was a “device” inside the store. Wal-Mart officials evacuated the store for precautionary measures. A search of the store was conducted and no suspicious packages were located. Wal-Mart officials re-opened the store approximately one hour later.
