In September 2009 there were two documented incidents involving a male subject engaging school age children to and from school.
The first incident occurred on September 24th near the area of Honeydew Lane and Vine Street, Wildomar, while the victim walked home from school. The male suspect drove up behind the victim, rolled down his window and made reference about the victim’s appearance; she became frightened and ran from the area. Just prior to making contact with this victim he had approached another juvenile female and engaged her in conversation.
The second incident occurred on September 30th while the victim was walking to school near the area of Lake Terrace and Lemon, Wildomar. The same suspect approached the victim after driving by in his vehicle, turning around and stopping in front of her, blocking her path. The suspect exited his vehicle and told her she looked nice. The victim ran from the area toward a nearby church and hid until the suspect left the area. Upon arrival at school the victim advised school administrators and the School Resource Officer of the incident. A composite sketch was completed based on the suspect’s description.
The suspect is described as white male adult, mid-20’s, 5’08”-5’10”, stocky build, and short brown hair. The suspect vehicle is described as a newer, black Volkswagen Passat or Jetta 4-door.
The public is urged to contact the Wildomar Police Department at (951) 245-3300 or Riverside Sheriff’s Dispatch at (800) 950-2444 if you have any information on the suspect or locate the vehicle in the area.
