On Monday, September 28, 2009, Investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department - Hemet Station responded to the 44000 block of Orpington Avenue, Hemet, in reference to a call of a hazardous device located. Deputies located three encapsulated explosive devices and secured the area. The Riverside Sheriff’s Department Hazardous Device Team responded to the scene and rendered the devices inert.
Bruce Earl Hoover, 43, who was residing at a residence in the 44000 block of Orpington Avenue was arrested and booked for 12303 PC-possession of explosives, 12303.2 PC-possession of explosives in private habitation, and 368(b)(1)PC-Elder Abuse.
Additional investigation revealed Justin Arthur Cain who was residing at a residence in the 1900 block of Flores Street, Hemet, was found to be in possession of materials with intent to make explosive or destructive device. Cain was arrested and booked for 12312 PC-possession of materials with intent to make explosive or destructive device.
