Sheriff Service Officer I/II
Position Information

Sheriff Service Officers perform a wide range of tasks, which may include facility maintenance, processing a variety of police reports, and performing routine support activities. Sheriff Service Officers may be assigned to the following operations: audiovisual, social/academic activities, property/evidence rooms; community service officers duties, process servers or neighborhood watch aides; or assignments dealing with strict legal deadlines related to the arraignment of suspects.

In addition to the above duties: Sheriff Service Officers may be in uniform and perform the following functions: drive a Sheriff's vehicle to transport criminals from crime scenes to various locations, issue parking citations, direct traffic, investigate incident reports and misdemeanor calls. Sheriff Service Officers may be expected to work holidays and rotating shifts.
