Correctional Deputy I/II --
[MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS] [SELECTION PROCESS]
- Graduation from high school, or possession of a Certificate of Proficiency issued by the California State Board of Education, or attainment of a satisfactory score on a G.E.D. test.
- Age 18 years old.
- Valid California Driver's license.
SELECTION PROCESS Candidates must appear in person for all of the exams. Candidates who live out-of-state must attend the written examination; however, the remaining selection process may be combined to minimize your visits through sheriffs' personnel.

- Physical Agility Test
- Extensive Background Investigation
- Polygraph Examination
- Medical Examination
- Psychological Examination
