A call to 9-1-1 should always be a call for help. In any emergency situation, POLICE, MEDICAL OR FIRE, call 9-1-1. To report a crime, fire, heart attack, serious injury or any incident requiring immediate response.
Phone Numbers For Reporting Crimes
- To get help for someone who is hurt.
- If you see someone taking something that belongs to someone else.
- If you see someone hurting someone else.
- If you smell smoke or see a fire.
- In situations of an emergency nature
In non-emergency situations the sheriff's department maintains three separate dispatch centers, which receive calls from the public.
Moreno Valley Police Department in conjunction with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department Communication Center, and with support of the Moreno Valley City Council, has created a new non-emergency dispatch phone number.
