Supervised Electronic Confinement Program Full-time

Introduction
Purpose:
Supervised Electronic Confinement Program (S.E.C.P.) offers a safe, cost effective, alternative for selected minimum security, low-risk, non violent offenders; subject to approval of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.Advantages:

- Complete sentence faster
- Keep current job
- Attend school
- Live at home
- Receive own medical care
- Meet child care responsibilities
- Attend Counseling
Application Process
If you feel you are qualified for the program, you need to fill out the attached green application and submit it to the Pod Officer. It will be returned to you to let you know if your application has been accepted or denied. If you have been accepted, a Deputy will interview you. At that point, you will be given a checklist of things that need to be completed in order to start your release process. Whoever is going to be getting you out needs to call the SECP office to set up an appointment to bring in the required items. Required Items:
You must have basic telephone service. NO:
- Copy of most current telephone bill
- $98 to cover the first two weeks on the program.
- All co-residents 18 and over must sign a cohabitant waiver agreeing to program rules.
*You must disconnect:
- Call Waiting
- Voice Mail
- Call Forwarding, Blocking, or Caller ID
- DSL on phone line
- Answering Machines
- Cordless Phones
- Fax Machines
- Computer Modems
Eligibility
Eligible offenders:
- Live in Riverside County or within a reasonable distance.
- Have a working telephone with no added features on the line
- Able to pay the daily fee
- Agree to adhere to the rules, regulations, and requirements of the S.E.C.P.
You are not eligible if:
Failure to comply:
- You cannot cooperate due to mental conditions
- You have behavior problems such as: excessive failure to appear violations, or have been previously terminated from SECP for non-compliance.
- You have violent charges
Failure to comply with the rules/regulations of the S.E.C.P. will result in immediate termination from the program and you will be returned to custody to complete the remainder of your time.

Pending approval, each applicant will be required to:
- -Meet eligibility requirements (residency, equipment, etc.)
- -Provide a current telephone bill, most recent pay stub, and proof of enrollment in alcohol, drug, and/or counseling programs (if applicable).
